Tapi apa yang aku suka nak baca ialah cara dia selesaikan konflik dengan pihak atasan sebab kita tahu yang knight merupakan seorang yang setia pada ketuanya. Semuanya berpunca dari seorang perempuan yang mengubah dunia seorang lelaki.

Seperti yang dikata, diamond slipper adalah pemberian suami Cordelia, Prince Michael. Diamond slipper sendiri mempunyai ceritanya sendiri. Dulunya ia kepunyaan bekas isteri Michael, Elvira, yang juga adik kesayangan kepada Leo. Elvira berbeza wataknya dengan Cordelia yang lebih bijak dengan suasana. Yang tragiknya, kematian Elvira dikaitkan semasa dia mahu melahirkan anak kembar, Sylvie n Amelia sedangkan sebenarnya dia dibunuh kerana Michael curiga dia berlaku curang.

Hubungan Michael dengan anak2nya tidak seperti biasa malah anak2nya itu dijaga oleh governess. Perkara pertama yang Cordelia lakukan semasa di istana Michael ialah mahu berkenalan dengan anak2 tirinya tapi, Michael seperti mahu menjarakkan hubungan itu.

Cinta antara Leo n Cordelia memang tidak dapat dipisahkan lagi. Kegusaran hati Cordelia tentang perwatakan pelik Michael disampaikan kepada Leo. Dan yang lebih membuatkan Leo marah apabila Cordelia sendiri telah terjumpakan jurnal Michael tentang kematian Elvira. Dan kali ini dia tidak mahu mendiamkan diri lagi.
